Republic Services believes strongly that engaging with and investing in the communities where our employees and customers live and work is a vital part of creating sustainable neighborhoods. For that reason, the National Neighborhood Promise program was created.
Through this signature program, Republic’s goal is to partner with exceptional local nonprofits to create sustainable neighborhoods through grants, in-kind donations, and volunteerism. Since 2017, we have improved 73 places and spaces across the country with this program, and through 2022, we’ve positively impacted more than 9 million people!
This year, we introduced an updated and more ambitious Communities goal: To create sustainable neighborhoods through strong community partnerships for 45 million people by 2030.
