Our Values in Action: Driven


The theme for this year’s Ethics Week is “Living Our Values” with a focus on our shared Company values and how we put them into action for our customers, our communities, our environment, and each other.

Today we’re focused on our value Driven: We Deliver Results in the Right Way. Driven means that every Republic employee, in every role, is expected to act with integrity and make the right choice every time.  If you are ever in doubt about how to make the right choice, ask for help.  Take advantage of our open-door culture — your supervisor, any other manager, your HR partner, and the Ethics & Compliance Office are all resources available to answer your questions and help you to make the right choice.

If you’re faced with an ethics and compliance challenge, approach it with a focus on Driven and ask yourself some important questions:

  • Does it reflect our values?
  • Is it consistent with our Code and policies?
  • Is it legal?
  • Would I feel comfortable if others new about it?
  • Does it feel like the right thing to do?

If your answer to any of these questions is “no” then it’s not the right choice to make.  If you are unsure about the answers to these questions, you should promptly ask for help in making the right decision.

What does Driven mean to you?

Earlier this year, we asked employees what value inspires them the most and why. Many employees responded by saying our “Driven” value resonated with them the most.  Here are a few responses we received from employees about why our value of “Driven” is important:
