At Republic Services, we live our values every day and make them a part of everything we do. That’s why, during Ethics Week, we’re spending each day focusing on one of our core values. Today we’re focusing on our “Committed to Serve” value. At Republic, we go above and beyond to exceed our customers’ expectations and believe that a neighborhood is much bigger than a collection of people living near each other – it is the relationship between individuals and their surroundings, with each neighborhood showcasing its own distinct culture and needs that are defined by the people living, working, and playing there. Our passion, and the mission of the Republic Services Charitable Foundation’s National Neighborhood Promise® program, is to partner with exceptional local nonprofits to create unique opportunities to strengthen our neighborhoods side-by-side with residents and employee volunteers.
On this second day of Ethics Week, we feature the recent Women Build 2022 project completed in a West Dallas, Texas neighborhood. In partnership with the Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity, the project was funded with a $125,000 National Neighborhood Promise grant which will help complete 19 new home constructions and critical repairs to existing homes while revitalizing the community through a large-scale neighborhood clean-up program in the West Dallas area.
“Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build projects make such a positive impact in the community, especially for women and single moms who don’t always have the support they need to achieve the dream of homeownership,” said Amy Adcox, General Manager Hauling MC and Dallas Habitat for Humanity Board Member.
“Over 25 Republic Services volunteers visited the West Dallas site and picked up a hammer and got to work. A true example of how Republic Services and its employees are Committed to Serve,” Amy added.
