Congrats Customer Zeal in Action April Winner!

At Republic Services, Customer Zeal means taking ownership to create a great customer experience. Each month, we receive story submissions from across the company that showcase examples of employees embracing a Customer Zeal mindset. At the end of each month, one of these stories is randomly selected as the winner of prizes and recognition.

“Melissa (Missy) has held several roles in her tenure with Republic Services and most recently she took on the responsibility of part-time Customer Care Manager (CCM). BU308 does not currently have a CCM and noticing an opportunity, Missy offered to dedicate 5-10 hours per week to help us improve our Net Promoter Score, and within days Missy was contacting customers, working with operations to solve issues, and closing out alerts. Our average time to close has dropped by almost 50% and we have not had a single alert get escalated since she took over. Beyond the metrics, which are great, Missy is always helpful, kind and reliable. Missy was our “Committed to Serve” award winner last year and BU308 is incredibly fortunate to have her as a team member.”
