Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from California to Texas

Here are some of the moments captured during Hispanic Heritage Month at the Post Collection sites in Southern California.

“One of the best parts of celebrating the various Latino countries through this celebration is the opportunity for employees to share a little about their upbringing, country of origin, family and community traditions and getting to know each other a little more. In one of the pictures, the teams celebrated by introducing our employees to a Salvadorian dish. We also introduced employees to Filipino food and all year long we celebrate and enjoy Mexican cuisine. We have some of the best Mexican food in California, so we make sure we celebrate all year long.” – Maria B., HR Manager, Santee, CA

On September 16, employees at the Odessa Charter Landfill in Texas had fun with a pinata filled with treats.

Maria M., Division Accountant in San Angelo, TX, proudly performs for her community in her Folklorico group.

“Today I want to celebrate my Hispanic Heritage, my life and family. A taste of the Island of Puerto Rico. Puerto Ricans make up the second largest group of Hispanic Americans in the US. Our food is amazing and its base is our sofrito. Very special and flavorful. Also, our signature dish is the mofongo (mashed and stuffed green plantain). Beautiful beaches and sightseeing.  -- Elvia F., Area Safety Manager, Houston, TX

Thank you to these teams for sharing how you are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
