At Republic Services, we partner with customers to build a more sustainable world.
Since taking over collection service for more than 1,000 homes in the town of Superior, Colorado, we’ve introduced EV collection trucks, curbside compost service, community outreach and a pay-as-you-throw program that encourages recycling and composting.
This is what it means to deliver our promise of Sustainability in Action.
Results so far:
- Better data to help the town target outreach and improve participation
- Nearly two-thirds of households enrolled in compost service
- An estimated 75% reduction in collection truck emissions compared with the previous diesel fleet
Together, we’re helping Superior move closer to its goal of 65% waste diversion by 2030.
