You Can Make a Difference! Know What to Throw

Every day, we all take action to improve our environment. One of the simplest ways to make an impact is by knowing what belongs in the recycling bin.

This America Recycles Day (November 15), take a moment to refresh your recycling knowledge. Understanding what can and can’t be recycled helps reduce contamination, improves recycling efficiency and supports the circular economy we’re working to build.

Here are some common items that can be recycled and what they become after collection.

What can be recycled?

Paper

Cardboard

Aluminum/Metal

Plastic

Paper can be repulped into new paper and other products up to 7 times.
Cardboard shipping and moving boxes can be recycled into new boxes.
Aluminum cans can be infinitely recycled.
Plastic bottles, cups and jugs will become part of a circular economy via our Polymer Centers.
