A big shout out to employees in Greensboro/Winston-Salem for their support of the Greensboro YWCA Short-Term Emergency Family Shelter during the recent Women of Republic Charity Championship. Employees donated new blankets, pillows, toys and an outdoor playset. Additionally, the team held a free basic car care clinic for 33 shelter residents and volunteers. Our technicians, including several employees’ family members, provided oil changes, brake, battery and bulb replacements, fluid top-offs, and tire rotations. This event is a great example of living our value of Safe – We protect the livelihoods of our colleagues and communities.
“The car care clinic resulted in many community members leaving with vehicles that were much safer than when they arrived. Thanks to our team’s generosity, we contributed more than $16,000 to benefit the YWCA Short-Term Emergency Family Shelter, including the donations and the car care clinic!” said Dawna C., Human Resources Manager.
