At a ribbon cutting event held on January 4, Municipal Sales Manager Matt B. joined city officials to open a first-of-its-kind recycling drop-off site in Western Michigan. The new recycling center will use the efficiency of sonic sensor mechanical compaction to manage problems of overflow and contamination.
“This site is the first in Michigan to offer 24-hour access to a compactor using the sonic sensor that allows residents and downtown merchants to maximize their recycling contributions,” Matt said. “This is a prototype for my region and will position Republic Services to have a greater platform to provide the county and community with the best possible recycling program in the area.”
