West Area Women of Republic held a volunteer event on Wednesday, September 24, with Single Moms Strong in Citrus Heights, CA. Single Moms Strong is a non-profit with two locations in the Greater Sacramento Area. Their mission is to empower single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
Employees pitched in to help with a variety of projects, including a new garden, painting several rooms, reorganizing and revamping the clothing closet, organizing the staff bathroom, fixing a garbage disposal, and sanitizing items. This volunteer event was part of Women of Republic’s Charity Championship.
