In 2022, we strengthened our commitment to neighborhood revitalization by updating our Communities goal. As highlighted in our most recent Sustainability Report, our goal is to create sustainable neighborhoods through strong community partnerships for 45 million people by 2030. One way we are doing that is through our Business Resource Groups (BRGs). In partnership with our Charitable Foundation, each BRG was provided a $10,000 charitable donation to support the communities we live in and serve.
This past Veterans Day, our V.A.L.O.R. BRG conducted a friendly social media competition among Areas to decide where their annual $10,000 charitable donation would go. The result? Over 1,000 social media posts that honored our Company’s Veterans nationwide.
While every Area contributed to the contest’s success, the Great Lakes Area was awarded V.A.L.O.R.’s $10,000 charitable donation prize and partnered with Cincinnati’s Easterseals Redwood Military and Veteran Services.
“Veterans know they can turn to us for help with employment, mentoring, job coaching, training, and emergency assistance. Republic’s support makes these life-changing programs possible for Veterans. Your support means no Veteran is turned away. Your gift helps a Vet and honors a Vet. Thank you!” – Danielle Gentry- Barth with Easterseals
Strong community partnerships are essential to our work to create sustainable neighborhoods. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Veterans Day competition and congratulations to the Great Lakes Area and their partnership with Easterseals Redwood Military and Veteran Services.
