Earlier this month while running their residential route, Driver Antoinette R. and her team of Helpers Johnathan M. and Daravonte R. noticed smoke rising out of the rear of a house. Antoinette stopped her truck and called 911 to alert the fire department of the situation while Daravonte and Johnathan began knocking on the windows and doors trying to alert anyone who may be inside. Fortunately, the Morgan City Fire Department arrived and discovered that no one was in the residence at the time and everyone was safe.
A couple of days later the homeowner called to thank the team for their efforts and to let Republic Services know how much he and his family appreciated their quick and unselfish actions that day.
