Tower Landfill Recognized for Commitment to Fire Safety

Safety is more than a requirement at Tower Landfill in Commerce City, CO. It is a commitment that guides how employees work each day, from site operations and equipment maintenance to training and emergency preparedness.

That commitment was recently recognized when the South Adams County Fire Department (SACFD) honored Tower Landfill through its Fire-Safe Business Recognition Program.

The recognition followed a routine fire safety inspection in which the facility earned top marks with no outstanding code violations. The achievement reflects the team’s ongoing focus on creating a safe environment for employees, contractors, visitors and the surrounding community.

During the inspection, fire officials evaluated the landfill’s fire prevention and safety practices, including emergency preparedness, access routes, fire protection systems and overall site housekeeping. Tower Landfill demonstrated a strong culture of safety, compliance and readiness.

“This recognition reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” said Melissa M., Environmental Manager. “We are proud to receive this honor and remain committed to maintaining the high standards that help keep our employees, customers and community safe.”
