Tiffany H. Putting Her Career in Drive!

Like father, like daughter. Tiffany H. started her career with Republic Services in 2018 as a Collections Specialist at our Covington, KY Hauling Division. With encouragement from her supervisor and coaching by her father Darryl, a 12-year employee and driver, Tiffany obtained her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and was recently promoted to a Small Container Driver.

“Tiffany just needs a goal and the knowledge that you believe in her and she will smash all of your expectations,” said Supervisor Jeremy M.

We asked Tiffany a few questions about her new role and advise to others interested in advancing their career as a driver.

Q. What do you love about your new role as a Small Container Driver?

Tiffany: How the schedule fits my home life.

Q. How do you stay safe on the road?

Tiffany: Using the Smith System and the Backing 0,3,2,1 that my trainer taught me.

Q. What is your advice to others interested in obtaining a CDL?

Tiffany: Let management know you’re interested, follow process, and study hard. Got to put the work in.

Q. What’s the most important lesson your father has taught you?

Tiffany: Don’t over think it.
