- Spreading some holiday cheer. Help make the season special for families by organizing food or toy drives this holiday season.
- Volunteering and giving back. Whether you serve meals, clean up a park or mentor, giving of your time is a powerful way to support your community.
- Supporting a meaningful cause. Use our Employee Giving Portal to contribute to your favorite cause. Make one-time or recurring payroll donations to the organizations that matter to you.
Below are just a few examples of nonprofit organizations with a national footprint. You can also find volunteer opportunities by searching on Idealist.org, a nonprofit organization that connects people with in-person, hybrid or remote volunteer opportunities.

Ronald McDonald House programs and services help alleviate some financial burdens for families along their child’s healthcare journey. |

The Salvation Army provides survivors with necessities such as food, water, mobile showers, clean blankets and clothes, emergency shelter and more. |

Volunteers of America (VOA) is a national, nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of social services, such as affordable housing, to low-income and other individuals in need. |
Toys for Tots |
The basic mission of the Marine Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to economically disadvantaged children during the holidays. |

How to Participate
Every gift, big or small, can help support employees when they need it most. The Employee Relief Fund provides financial grants to employees impacted by severe weather events, fires or employee deaths.
Instructions
- Go to the new Employee Giving Platform
- Click on “Make a Donation”
- Search for the Republic Services Employee Relief Fund
- Click on “Donate” to select a recurring or one-time donation
- Follow the prompts to complete your donation
