In July, our NORCAL/SOCAL Emergency Response Team Members participated in a 4-Day Technical Site Access Rope Course conducted in Donner Pass, CA. The training was hosted by our client, Union Pacific Railroad, on one of their remote training sites. The course specializes in rope access training for first responders.
Participants included: Shianne D., Foreman; Tyler B., Technician; Jose O., Supervisor; Ruben Z., Foreman, and Jeff D., Foreman, all from our Environmental Solutions Pacific Area’s NorCal and BUs.
The curriculum included:
- Rope Anchors Systems
- Rescue Knots
- Rappelling
- Ascending
- Belaying
- Raising – Lowering Highline Equipment.
The course curriculum is tailored to environmental response operations in ambiguous and complex terrain. Just another way We Are Safe and protect the livelihoods of our colleagues and communities.
