Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at Republic Services, which is why it is our first Element in the 2022 Sustainability Report.
With one of the country’s largest fleets and over 900 locations in North America, it is vital that our focus remains on the safety of our employees and customers.
What many don’t know is that Republic Services has an extensive emergency response platform – through acquisitions and company growth. We operate 50 land-based and 15 marine-based emergency response locations through North America, which help keep our customers and communities safe.
Our crews are trained to manage emergency cleanups for our customers: on land, over the road, on rail or in the water. These incidents vary, but can include oil spills, chemical releases, and natural disasters.
