At Republic Services’ Huntington Beach business unit, our partnership with the City of Newport Beach plays a vital role in keeping the coastline clean and inviting. Our team arrives before the first beachgoers and services nearly 200 containers along an expansive stretch of sand, ensuring the beach is ready for the community to enjoy.
Powering this unique operation is a specially designed 4-wheel drive collection vehicle built to perform in challenging beach conditions. “Our driver can deflate and inflate the tires directly from the cab using an onboard compressor,” said General Manager Dan C. This feature allows the truck to easily navigate soft sand while maintaining efficiency, safety and reliability throughout the route.
And with sweeping ocean views all around, this route offers something few others can claim, one of the best views in the company!
