Every year, Republic Services’ employees honor our fallen heroes on Memorial Day. From volunteering and self-reflection to spending time with loved ones, our employees take pride in remembering the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
One notable example is our Business Unit in Southeast Kansas. Employees created a “Missing Man” table, often called, the Fallen Comrade Table, that serves as a reminder of all fallen, missing, or imprisoned U.S. military service members. Each item on the table holds a symbolic meaning to represent the emotions and feelings reserved for those who did not come home.
