Our U.S. veterans need our support and gratitude now more than ever. As we think about how we as individuals and as an organization will celebrate Veterans Day 2021, the V.A.L.O.R. BRG invites you to participate in a volunteer opportunity with Soldiers’ Angels Home of the Brave to support their Veterans Day celebrations at a VA location near you. Soldiers’ Angels is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides aid, comfort and resources to the military, veterans and their families.
Whether it’s with your team, your BU or division (this could be a great team building activity), or individually with friends or family, Soldiers’ Angels is looking for volunteers to give their time at a local, participating VA medical center to support their Veterans Day celebration. There are a variety of ways you can help, depending on your local VA medical center’s needs and COVID-19 safety protocols in your area.

Important Dates and Details:
- Volunteer registration has been extended beyond the original October 11 deadline – check with your local VA medical centers to find out more about what volunteer opportunities are available for you locally. Please obtain manager approval before registering for an activity on a workday.
- Each individual employee must register to volunteer for tracking purposes and to receive a t-shirt. If a division or BU wishes to volunteer as a group, they can do so by first having all employees sign up on the site, then working with their VA Site Coordinator once they are contacted.
- Registered volunteers will be contacted by a local site coordinator to find out specific volunteer details for their location (such as dates volunteers are needed, the type of volunteer work requested by their local VA, etc.) The volunteer activities will take place in early

*Some VA sites are still populating this information and your location may be blank. You may still sign up to volunteer at this location and will be contacted by the site coordinator with further information.
