So Cal Team Breaks Ground on San Bernadino Sustainability Park

Our Southern California team has officially broken ground on the new San Bernardino Sustainability Park, a significant step forward in expanding composting capacity across the region. The facility will help communities meet California’s SB 1383 requirements, a statewide effort to keep organic waste out of landfills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Once complete, the site will process more than 300,000 tons of yard and food waste each year, with plans to grow to 600,000 tons. Serving Los Angeles and Orange counties, it will help keep waste out of landfills, reduce emissions from transportation and turn organic material into high-quality compost that benefits local communities – all while supporting jobs and strengthening our sustainability efforts.
