The Sacramento team always goes all out for Earth Day, and this year was no exception. The team celebrated in a variety of ways, from employee give-aways to community events and educating kids in classrooms.
To commemorate Earth Day 2024, employees received a Republic Services reusable water bottle. “Over the past couple months, we introduced filtered water systems throughout our offices so that employees don’t have to rely on single-use bottles as much. We also held a recycling trivia contest with small sustainability prizes for the winners!” said Annah R., Manager, Municipal Sales.
The team also celebrated out in the community at the San Juan Mercy Hospital in Citrus Heights, CA. Additionally, employees hosted several 4Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rot) presentations in classrooms throughout the day.
These are great examples of living our value of Environmentally Responsible and taking action to improve our environment. Way to go, team!
