Republic Services along with City of Phoenix officials and community leaders recently celebrated the unveiling of the Republic Services Garden at Margaret T. Hance Park in downtown Phoenix. The sustainable garden was made possible through a $2 million sponsorship from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation. The one-of-a-kind oasis in the heart of Phoenix features 33 native desert species and nearly 4,000 plants chosen for their ability to thrive in the Phoenix heat and low water requirements.
CEO Jon Vander Ark, Mayor Kate Gallego, the Hance Park Partner Coalition and more were on hand for the Republic Services Garden at Margaret T. Hance Park ribbon cutting event. This sustainable oasis is a great example of how partnerships can make a meaningful difference in our community. Community revitalization is at the heart of what we do through the Republic Services Charitable Foundation and now residents and visitors can enjoy the newly designed desert oasis.
