Republic Team Partners with Rebuilding Together St. Louis

As part of the National Neighborhood Promise program funded by the Republic Services Charitable Foundation, we are pleased to partner with Rebuilding Together St. Louis on a revitalization project to the Wesley House. The Wesley House serves as a community safe haven and provides social services to youth, adults and seniors in the Penrose neighborhood. About 30 Republic Services volunteers participated in a volunteer day that consisted of painting and revitalizing the urban garden, including assembling benches, a storage shed and planter beds.

“This volunteer experience enhanced the contribution already provided to Rebuilding Together for the Wesley House building enhancements. Why?  Because keeping the Wesley House in this specific location adds value to the culture of the programs offered to both the youth and the elderly. The Wesley House has been at this site for over 120 years, enriching the lives of families. Being a part of this opportunity to keep building strong families is important to Republic Services,” said Joseph D., General Manager, Republic Services St. Louis.
“Republic Services has been a fantastic partner to Rebuilding Together St. Louis. Through the National Neighborhood Promise grant program, we are able to mobilize volunteers to support the Wesley House’s neighborhood-based programs that serve older adults and youth. The facility improvements funded through this generous grant will help the Wesley House continue providing services in North St. Louis,” said Elaine P, Executive Director, Rebuilding Together St. Louis.
