Republic Services’ commitment to hiring and supporting veterans has once again earned statewide recognition. The Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas, recently received the Texas Veterans Commission Certificate of Appreciation, honoring Republic’s ongoing efforts to recruit, train and advance veterans in rewarding civilian careers.
“We’re proud to help service members and veterans build successful careers after their military service,” said Misty R., Director, Technical Institute. “Our partnerships with organizations such as Hiring Our Heroes, RecruitMilitary and local American Legion posts—along with collaboration with Veterans Affairs employment offices and military transition programs—allow us to connect with talented veterans who bring leadership, discipline and teamwork to every role.”
To further support the transition to civilian life, the Technical Institute offers paid on-the-job training and certification programs, helping veterans gain industry credentials without taking on student debt. These opportunities strengthen not only individual career paths but also the company’s skilled workforce.
Congratulations to the Technical Institute team and all those who help make our veteran hiring and development initiatives a continued success.
