The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) recently honored Republic Services with a recognition plaque for our ongoing commitment to education and dedication to our community partnership.
“Each semester for over six years, we have hosted hundreds of students from UNLV’s School of Nursing on tours of the Southern Nevada Recycling Center. Students learn about environmental health and the vital role recycling and solid waste infrastructure play in keeping our communities clean and healthy. Students are prompted with ideas on how they can drive sustainability in the healthcare profession. As the future generations of healthcare workers enter their field of study, they are mindful of the importance of environmental health and safety,” said Jeremy W., Manager, External Communications.
