For Recycling Coordinator Natalie C., Earth Day is every day! Natalie recently teamed up with local nonprofit Green Snohomish to organize a community litter walk. Despite the rain and cold, about a dozen people volunteered to pick up trash and recycling. To go one step further, the group reused old chicken feed bags from a neighboring farm instead of purchasing plastic trash bags. “By the time the event ended, the sun had finally come out, we had cleaned up a significant portion of Snohomish, and had fun in the process!” Natalie said.
