As part of the National Neighborhood Promise program funded by the Republic Service Charitable Foundation, we are pleased to partner with Rebuilding Together Atlanta to revitalize AD Williams Park Recreation Center that is home to the Atlanta Police Athletic League (PAL).
PAL supports 2,800 children annually through programs such as youth summer camp, youth athletic leagues and afterschool programs with tutoring. Through our partnership, the basketball court was resurfaced, grounds were cleaned up, and the community garden overhauled. The local Republic team also donated sports equipment, which will be put to good use by the kids!
“We are excited to work with Rebuilding Together Atlanta to improve the athletic fields, and proud to donate sports equipment for the kids to use. We can’t wait to get out there in the Spring to finish the garden restoration project.” – Anthony G., General Manager
“The goal of our National Neighborhood Promise program is to strengthen our local neighborhoods, and we are honored to support the police in their efforts to make our community a better place.” – Gator H., General Manager
“The entire PAL unit would like to thank you so very much for your donations to the Atlanta Police Athletic League here at AD Williams Recreational Center. Mere words can’t adequately express our sincere gratitude for this heartfelt act of kindness. So, on behalf of Atlanta PAL and City of Atlanta Police Department, we will simply say Thank You!” – Sgt.
