This effort was part of a larger initiative to create a more reliable, collaborative and accessible working environment for employees. The transition allows all employees to access the intranet from anywhere, at any time, on any device.At this point, we hope you’ve had a chance to spend some time finding and sharing information on Inside Republic Services. To test your SharePoint Online knowledge, take our virtual Scavenger Hunt! Everyone who enters will have a chance to win a cool prize from the Company Store. Winners will be chosen at random. SharePoint Online Scavenger Hunt Instructions: Take screen shots of your answers, save them in a Word document, and send to DLTeamIntranet@republicservices.com. Include your name, phone number and preferred mailing address. Get started by visiting the Inside Republic Services home page.
- Find the site owner for Environmental Compliance.
- Show the sites you are following and the ones you have viewed recently.
- Navigate to the Employee Onboarding site and take a screen shot of the site traffic.
- Navigate to the SharePoint Site Owner Success Portal and follow. (If you already follow, good for you! Still grab a screen shot.)
- Navigate to the Employee Resources site (in the Human Resources Hub) and find the Compensation Library. Once in the Library, add an alert to be notified when anything changes.
Clues:
- Look in the Operations, Engineering & Compliance Hub.
- Click on the light blue SharePoint logo at the top left of the home page. Then, on the left side of your Personal Home Page, you’ll see the sites you are following and sites you have recently viewed.
- Find the site in the Human Resources Hub. Then, click on the settings gear at the top right of the page then click Site usage.
- If you can’t find the site, use the search bar at the top left of the home page, and type Site Owner Success.
- Click on compensation on the left once in the Employee Resource site. Then click the three dots next to Flow on the top of the page. Then click on Alert Me.)
(You might be wondering what’s the difference between Inside Republic Services and Blue Nation Online. Basically, Inside is the place to explore departmental pages and sites. Blue Nation Online is where you can find out what’s happening across the Company. Both sites serve a different purpose and we encourage you to use both!)
