Slideshow: Just Drive Photo Contest Winners & Finalists

October 27, 2020

Your safety is our Company’s No. 1 priority! As Distracted Driving Awareness Month comes to an end, it’s up to all of us to continue to keep ourselves, our passengers and those around us safe by driving distraction free.

Thank you to everyone who signed our Just Drive Pledge! Nearly 2,000 employees and family members signed the pledge in just one week!  “This is an incredible response and a testament to the important role that safety plays in all of our lives. I’m proud that so many employees are dedicated to Just Driving. Thank you for pledging to save lives!” said Jim O., Vice President, Safety.

In addition to signing the Just Drive Pledge, we also held a contest for the most creative photo to promote all of the reasons for driving distraction-free (the top three reasons cited included family, friends and keeping others on the road safe). With 200 photos submitted, it was hard to choose just three winners! But we did … Congratulations to the following employees, who will receive a $100 gift card to our Company Store.

Area Safety Representative Tanner S., San Antonio, TX & Safety Dog Harvey

In closing, we’d like to share this message from RJ G., Ops Supervisor, Hartford Recycling:

“After expressing the importance of just driving to my team, I got into my car after work, grabbed my phone and remembered the meeting that we had early that morning. Those meetings stay in your mind and could actually save your life, someone around you, or maybe a family member. Don’t drive distracted. Just drive!”

Well said, RJ!
