Driver Rob B. went out of his way recently to make a young boy’s birthday extra special. Every Thursday, Rob is greeted by young Asher, who comes out to greet him. When Rob learned that Asher’s birthday was in a few weeks, he wanted to do something special for him. Together with Ops Supervisor Daniel M., they ordered some kid-friendly Republic merch. Rob even purchased a few gifts for Asher on his own. On the special day, Asher ecstatically rushed out to greet Rob, not even knowing he had a surprise birthday gift bag in the truck. Asher’s mom told us his favorite day each week is garbage day and his birthday cake this year was a garbage truck.
“Robby does an outstanding job servicing our municipal contract in Batavia, Ohio every day. The list of compliments we receive from his customers is never ending. Rob is an exemplary Republic employee who loves his job and represents the star with pride,” said Daniel.
Rob is definitely a hero in Asher’s eyes, and we think he’s a hero, too!
