With aspirations to move up within the Company, Helper Gerald S. was committed to getting his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) this past year in order to become a driver in Brunswick, GA. “He has worked very hard, remained positive, and put in all the necessary efforts to achieve his goal. We are so proud of Gerald and his ambitions and aspirations to become a professional driver and grow with Republic Services,” said Ellen G., Human Resources Manager.
At Republic, our residential and commercial drivers are required to hold a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes endorsement. This is a rigorous test that includes both a written and driving portion. “It’s a natural progression for some helpers to work their way up to becoming a driver for Republic,” Ellen said.
