Republic Services and the City of Arvada recently began a conversion partnership from open market to contracted waste and recycling. This is the largest conversion from open market to contracted work in the state of Colorado to date. There are over 18,000 new residential customers covered under the Republic Services and Arvada partnership.
With this new partnership in place, Republic Services and the City of Arvada held their First Annual Bulk Drop-Off Event on Saturday, July 24. There were 25 roll-off trucks staged for residents to drive through and deposit their materials. At the end of the day, 70 tons of material was collected. This event was a huge success and very well received by city officials as all of the residents who participated in the event.
