Opening Doors for Transitioning Service Members with SkillBridge

In August, Republic Services proudly opened its doors to the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program. SkillBridge is a nationwide program that provides transitioning Service members an opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during their last 180 days of service.

SkillBridge provides Republic Services the opportunity to access and leverage highly trained and motivated individuals. Service members participating in SkillBridge receive their military compensation and benefits, and Republic Services provides them with training and work experience.

With thousands of Veterans already working hard and giving their best at Republic every day, we look forward to helping the next generation of Veterans find impactful and fulfilling work in the next chapter of their careers.
