On the cool and sunny morning of Saturday, Oct. 21, 14 gladiators mounted their chariots — you might know them as garbage trucks — and entered the battle arena on the Republic Services parking lot in Chicago. The competitors had a singular focus: to become one with their craft as they safely navigate an obstacle course of trash cans, tiny traffic cones, and most formidable of all, judges with clipboards.
Evensol, Republic and Duke Energy partner on RNG projects

Evensol LLC, a renewable energy project developer focusing on biogas and methane mitigation, says it developed two renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities in North Carolina that are now operational. The Foothills Renewables Project in Caldwell County and the Upper Piedmont Renewables Project in Person County convert landfill gas from Phoenix-based Republic Services’ landfills into RNG.

Republic Services investing $150M in 22-acre southside plastic recycling complex

The Las Vegas valley is going green for America Recycles Day. Republic Services joined other local organizations in a recycling event at the Thomas and Mack on Wednesday. NV Energy was on site to accept incandescent light bulb donations in exchange for LED bulb replacements.
Republic Services offers Thanksgiving recycling tips

Now that Thanksgiving is over, City of Las Vegas officials and Republic Services are ensuring the community is helping sustainability efforts to eliminate waste. According to the county, household waste increases by 25 percent during the holiday season, which adds one million tons of trash into landfills. The Republic Service recommends throwing away things like soiled paper plates and pizza boxes while recycling plastic bottles, soda cans, and cups.
