Impactful Ways to Give Back Through Everyday Acts of Service

Republic Services encourages service and support of our communities. If you’re looking for impactful ways to give back during our Season of Giving and beyond, we’ve rounded up a few ideas on how and where to volunteer to serve as your guide! 

Everyday Acts of Service Ideas:

	Give blood. The American Red Cross has donation sites nationwide. Click here to get started.
	Donate unwanted items to organizations like Dress for Success, Soles4Souls, or local shelters in your community
	Donate to the Employee Giving Fund directly from your paycheck through the Employee Giving Portal or Workday.
	Donate your time. Many nonprofits need volunteers more than ever. Organizations like United We Serve, the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, Habitat for Humanity, or Rebuilding Together are great places to start!
	Help fight food insecurity by packing meals or organizing a food drive with Feeding America, or your local food bank.
	Support our nation’s veterans and get involved with great organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project, Hope for the Warriors or Operation Gratitude.
	Help animals in need by volunteering with the Humane Society, the ASPCA, or even the National Park Service.
