Pilot Sites in Heartland and Southwest Areas Successfully Transition to MPower

We did it! On July 8, five Business Units transitioned to MPower, our new fleet and equipment management software powered by Oracle. Technicians at these pilot sites can now complete digital work orders on tablets and clerks can manage inventory using handheld scanners (no more paper)! This is a major step towards a more connected and efficient enterprise.

Transitioning our maintenance teams from Dossier to Oracle is part of Republic Services’ Digital Transformation Strategy and the second wave of our Core Systems Modernization Program. This interconnected system brings significant benefits to the Company, including streamlining user processes, enhanced inventory and warranty, and a one-stop-shop solution.

Maintenance teams will find the right information at their fingertips, all while significantly reducing current administrative burdens. “We are so excited for our technicians, supervisors and clerks to begin using the new system and seeing all it has to offer,” said Chris H., Director of Organizational Change Management.

Celebrating Together!

This successful pilot launch is the culmination of more than two years of hard work from over 300 employees, project team members, testers and Implementation Specialists. Congratulations to everyone who helped with this effort for a job well done! And thank you to all of our new MPower end-users!

What’s Next

In Q4 of 2024, MPower will be deployed to the rest of the Heartland and Southwest Areas. Then, beginning in February 2025, the new software will be launched Area by Area through September 2025. Stay tuned for details!
