Each year, during Hispanic Heritage Month, we recognize the contributions made by Hispanic and Latino Americans in the United States.
According to the National Diversity Council, there are 55 million Hispanics in the United States and this group makes up 17% of the American population. By 2060, it is estimated there will be 119 million Hispanics and they will make up the second to largest racial/ethnic group in US). The top 5 states of residence for Hispanic populations include California, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas.
You can share in this special annual tribute by learning and celebrating the generations of Hispanic and Latino Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation.
