The Mint 400, in partnership with Republic Services, recently held a desert clean-up event in Jean, Nevada, about 30 miles outside of Las Vegas. Over 580 volunteers gathered and removed a whopping 25 tons of trash! About 12 tons of the trash collected, including three cars, was scrap metal and sent off to be recycled.
“In total, over the course of this four-year project, volunteers have removed over 192,000 pounds of trash, leaving the desert a little bit cleaner,” said Jeremy W., Community Manager.
