Mid-Atlantic Area Team Celebrates Women’s History Month

In honor of Women’s History Month, Mid-Atlantic Area employees volunteered at a local YWCA. The team spent the day at the YWCA Central Carolinas in Charlotte, completing a much-needed revitalization project.

With the help of one of Republic Services’ donated large containers, volunteers spent time removing overgrowth in several areas, replacing wooden raised garden beds, and taking down deteriorated fencing.

Mid-Atlantic Area President Shane Walker said, “We are lucky to work for a company that encourages serving our communities, and I am fortunate to have a team that shares those values in our Area.”
