May is Mental Health Month

This month we’re focused on the importance of taking care of our mental health and what common symptoms or mental health concerns may look like.

There’s a range of reasons someone might need mental health support. From exploring help during a stressful time to dealing with life-long struggle with depression, or if you’re just curious if symptoms like insomnia are related to anxiety, there are resources to help.

Republic’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to all employees, spouses and dependents. You can talk with a professional 24/7 for confidential counseling to help with a variety of everyday life issues and challenges. Coverage includes up to three one-on-one counseling sessions (per family member, per issue, per year) at no cost.

Reach out to a mental health professional today by calling 1-800-331-3684 or visit guidanceresources.com and use Web ID: REPUBLIC.

Connect with your EAP benefits for personalized support — because everyone’s mental health matters.

Tips to help manage stress and anxiety:

  • Engage in an activity that you truly enjoy. Revisit a favorite hobby, try something new or start an easy and fun project.
  • Unplug often. Take daily technology breaks. Make your free time a chance to unplug from work and concentrate on yourself and your loved ones.
  • Make time for relaxing rituals. For example, try meditation for 10-15 minutes, write in a journal or do gentle stretches.

Seek support. Reach out to family and friends, even if you feel like being alone. And look into the Company’s EAP.
