May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Did you know nearly 1 in 5 American adults will have a diagnosable mental health condition in any given year? About 50 million, or 19.86%, of U.S. adults suffer from a mental illness today.

Throughout May, in support of Mental Health Awareness Month, we will provide education and resources by introducing weekly topics that address stress and anxiety, kids and family, and what we can do to end the mental illness stigma.

Mental Health Resources: Live and Work Well Support Tool

According to Mental Health America, roughly 27 million, or 56%, of adults with mental illness did not receive treatment. Republic Services’ Benefit programs* offer a variety of solutions for you and your family. Discover the resources available by following these steps:

*Note: Enrollment in a Republic Services benefit plan is not required to access the Live and Work Well site. Those enrolled in a benefit plan may have access to more resources than those who are not enrolled.
