May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month—a time to celebrate the cultures, traditions and contributions of the AAPI community. It’s more than just recognition; it’s a chance to learn, connect and grow together.
Honoring AAPI Heritage Month reflects our values of inclusion and diversity. It reminds us that every voice matters and that by understanding each other’s histories and experiences, we build a stronger, more inclusive workplace. We’re Better Together.
How We’re Celebrating
- On May 1 there was a Tea Time virtual event that focused on learning about AAPI celebrations Holi, Songkran and the Dragon Boat Festival.
- Throughout the Month: Member spotlights posted on the AAPI BRG’s SharePoint site, highlighting and celebrating the diversity within AAPI.
- End the month with a ‘Sip and Snack with the BRGs’ virtual event to be held on May 30, hosted through Microsoft Teams. Check the AAPI at Republic BRG SharePoint for details.
- Visit the AAPI SharePoint site to download an MS Teams background to show your support.
