When Billing Supervisor Kristi Sparks passed away suddenly last year, her team in Columbus, OH, wanted to honor her legacy and memory.
“Kristi was an avid recycler and known in the office to educate everyone on the impact of recycling. When coming up with ideas to honor her legacy, what better way to than to collect bottle caps and recycle them into a bench to put in her hometown where she was well known in the community,” said Elizabeth A., Human Resource Manager.
For the past year, employees in Columbus with help from Ft. Wayne, IN, collected over 85 pounds of bottlecaps. At the one-year anniversary of her death, the team coordinated a bench reveal, right across the street from her family’s home on Main Street in Groveport.
