On November 25, 2025, the St. Francis Center partnered with Republic Services for a Season of Giving volunteer day in Los Angeles, California. The event brought the community together to support food-insecure residents across the city.
Our L.A. team worked alongside St. Francis Center staff and volunteers to pack pantry boxes, serve meals at the unhoused breakfast program and distribute food to families, seniors and individuals in need.
With a $250,000 grant from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation, the center also made major improvements, including a new 15 x 15-foot freezer, expanded pallet storage, upgraded warehouse space and enhanced electrical systems. These improvements will boost food rescue and storage capacity by 30%.
These efforts are helping St. Francis Center serve more than 10,000 individuals annually while providing supportive services that strengthen community well-being. Thank you to everyone who helped make a difference this Season of Giving!
