Kids Love Our Really Cool Truck at Career Day in Southeast Georgia

Operations Supervisor Jimmy M. and BTWI/Relief Driver Martin M. from the Waycross division participated in a career day event at Nahunta Primary School for the 3rd Grade.  The kids loved the Republic swag and had a great time sitting in the driver’s seat of one of our really cool trucks!

Jimmy and Martin thoroughly enjoyed spending time educating the children on how we service their homes and communities, and presenting career paths available to them when they grow up.

Jimmy’s opening line to the kids was “Do your parents make you roll the trash can to the road?” Pause/answer “yes” and his response was “see you have already started your training to be a trash truck driver.”

Jimmy says he is very thankful to work for such a great company that allows leaders and employees to be a part of activities to educate the youth and future leaders.
