Last week, employees from the Huntington Beach Business Unit partnered with Golden West College, the Huntington Beach Police Department and Bracken’s Kitchen to serve lunch to students returning to campus. Together, volunteers provided 455 meals, helping support students facing financial challenges and food insecurity as they began the new academic year.
“This event was especially rewarding for us because we are a strong supporter of Bracken’s Kitchen and the incredible work they do throughout Southern California. Bracken’s Kitchen receives food donations from a variety of organizations, including grocery stores, restaurants, and food distributors, and uses those ingredients to create delicious, nutritious meals for community groups. Having the Huntington Beach City Council and the Huntington Beach Police Department serve alongside our team was the icing on the cake. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with the community.” — Dan C., General Manager
