Hispanic Heritage Month: Industry Leaders Series, Part II – Daniel Cáceres Bartra

Our next Environmentally Responsible leader profile takes us to the seas and the country of Peru. Daniel Cáceres Bartra has led environmental efforts as a regional representative for the Sustainable Ocean Alliance Hub in Peru and is the co-founder of Taking Care of the Ocean Collective.

Daniel Cáceres Bartra has worked across many marine biodiversity and conservation projects, from working with humpback whales to registering new reefs in the North of Peru. He has also been a voice for the Peruvian Ocean in national and international policy events. He organized the first ocean hearing and youth climate summit in Peru’s Congress. In 2015, Daniel was the youngest divemaster in Peru; in 2016, he won the national Hreljac Medal for being the youth with the most significant impact on national sustainable development; in 2017, he won the Agent of Change award from the Scientific University of the South.
