Jeremy W., Community Relations Manager, recently visited the Gehring Academy of Science and Technology in Las Vegas to teach over 100 4th graders about the importance of recycling and sustainability. “I tested the students on their knowledge of recycling, took them on a virtual field trip of the recycling center, and then taught them the do’s and don’ts when it comes to recycling best practices,” Jeremy said. He also selected the winners of the upcycled material projects. The winners made a desk organizer out of discarded materials complete with a locking lid and compartments inside to separate pencils, erasers, paper clips, and other useful items.
Recycling lessons like this helps makes a difference in our communities. Way to go, Jeremy!
