The completion of the new Marshall facility at marks an exciting new chapter for our Business Unit in Kalamazoo. As employees settle into their new workspace, the response has been positive, with many highlighting the building’s improved functionality, brighter atmosphere and enhanced amenities.
When asked about their favorite features, employees pointed to the upgrades that have made their day-to-day work easier and more enjoyable. “The new dividers and open layout have improved my daily work,” said Logistics Analyst Eddie M. “There’s less background noise, which makes phone calls much clearer and helps us provide an even better Customer Zeal experience.”
Mfg & Environment Services Executive Natalie T. appreciates the brighter, more welcoming atmosphere, especially the custom wall murals that give the building a fresh look. Gate Attendant/Scale Operator Courtney M. said the new storage room has made staying organized much easier. “Having updated offices, a conference room and new locker rooms make a big difference for our team,” added Ops Supervisor Hauling Chris B.
Sustainability was also a priority throughout the project. The facility incorporates environmentally responsible features, including 70 percent recycled steel and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the building. “We’re proud of the finished facility and hope our drivers feel proud of where they work and the important role they play every day,” said Ops Manager Hauling Bryan R.
“This project represents an investment in both our employees and our region,” said General Manager Mike T. “It’s another way we’re strengthening employee engagement while reinforcing our commitment to serving the local community.”
